How Do I Meet People?

Arcadia Christian Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Arcadia Christian Church.

Small Group

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Arcadia Christian Church has small bible studies. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve. At a time, designated by your group, you can participate in the small group study.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of Arcadia Christian Church is recognized for their close interaction.

Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Arcadia Christian Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.

Women’s Group

Arcadia Christian Women’s Groups gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Helping Others

Started in 2006 by Betty Goswick and Earline Zimmermann for the ladies  of Arcadia Christian Church to have the opportunity to help others while having fellowship and refreshments. The ladies meet every other month in the Fellowship Hall, cutting material, sewing, and stuffing pillows. They make deliveries 3 times a year. They have delivered to MD Anderson Cancer Treatment Center, Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Radiation Center, St John Drive, Deke Slaton Cancer Center, Texas Oncology, Sugarland, Veterans Hospital Houston, and Shriners Hospital For Children, and UTMB, Galveston, Hospice Care Team, Texas City. They also give to individuals who have need. They never charge for any item. They also in years past donated stuffed bears, lap covers, complete dresses, booties, caps, tissue holders and gifts for children totes. They continue to collect for Shriners Hospital for the care givers all type of yarn, crochet thread and craft kits as they stay with their terrible burned children. They also collect play doh, hot wheels, and dolls.

Married Couples

Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. Arcadia Christian Church gives married couples the opportunity to join four-month long marriage classes ranging on topics from Marriage and Money, Getting Ready for Kids, Shepherding Children, Marriage and Sex.

Over 50’s (The Arcadians)

Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begin. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-50 group of Arcadia Christians provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ. Church membership is not required to come and Fellowship with the Arcadians in the Fellowship Hall of Arcadia Christian Church on the second Thursday of every month. YA’LL Come!
